How To Cook Top Round Steak

Top round steak is a lean cut of beef that is usually cooked quickly over high heat. It’s a great option for weeknight dinners because it’s easy to prepare and cooks quickly. Here’s how to do it:

Ingredients

– 1 top round steak, 1-inch thick
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons fresh herbs, such as thyme, rosemary, or oregano

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Pat steak dry with paper towels, season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil.
4. When oil is hot, add steak and cook for 3 minutes, until nicely browned.
5. Turn steak over and add butter and garlic to skillet.
6. Cook for 1 minute, then add fresh herbs.
