All you need to know about: How To Cook Thin Steak.

How To Cook Thin Steak

Cooking a thin steak can be a bit of a challenge, but with the right technique, you can achieve a perfectly cooked steak every time. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Choose the Right Cut of Meat

When it comes to thin steaks, you’ll want to choose a cut of meat with a moderate amount of fat, like sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon. These cuts will provide the best flavor and texture when cooked quickly. Avoid cuts that are too lean, like flank steak, as they may become tough and dry when cooked.

Step 2: Prepare the Steak

Once you’ve selected your cut of meat, give it a quick pat with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. This will help to ensure that the steak cooks evenly and prevents it from sticking to the pan. Season the steak with salt and pepper, or your favorite steak seasoning blend.

Step 3: Heat the Pan

Next, heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for several minutes. You want the pan to be very hot before you add the steak. Once the pan is hot, add a light coating of oil to the pan and swirl it around to coat the bottom of the pan.

Step 4: Cook the Steak

Carefully place the steak in the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, until it is nicely browned. Thin steaks cook very quickly, so keep an eye on the steak to make sure it doesn’t overcook. When the steak is done, remove it from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 5: Enjoy!

Once the steak has rested, it’s ready to be enjoyed. Serve with your favorite sides and sauces for a delicious meal. Enjoy!
