Ingredients

-Chuck steak
-Salt
-Pepper
-Garlic powder
-Onion powder
-Vegetable oil

Instructions

1. Take the chuck steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help the steak cook more evenly.

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

3. Sprinkle both sides of the steak generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

4. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Once the oil is hot, add the steak and sear it on each side for about 1 minute.

6. Once both sides are seared, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for about 20 minutes or until the internal temperature of the steak is 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

7. Once the steak is cooked to your desired doneness, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
