How To Cook A Tri Tip Roast

– 2-3 pound tri tip roast
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 teaspoons of kosher salt
– 2 teaspoons of freshly ground pepper
– 2 teaspoons of dry oregano
– 1 teaspoon of cumin
– 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
– 1/4 cup of red wine
– 1/4 cup of beef broth


1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Place the tri tip roast on a cutting board. Rub the olive oil over the entire surface of the roast.

3. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, and parsley. Rub the mixture onto the roast, making sure to cover all sides of the roast.

4. Place the roast in a shallow roasting pan. Pour the red wine and beef broth over the roast.

5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
