What You Need

– Boneless Prime Rib Roast (3-4 lbs)
– 2-3 cloves of garlic, crushed
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 teaspoons of coarse salt
– 2 teaspoons of freshly ground black pepper
– 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
– 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Place roast in a roasting pan and rub with garlic.

3. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the roast and rub it in.

4. Sprinkle the roast with salt, pepper, thyme and rosemary. Rub the seasonings into the roast.

5. Place roast in the preheated oven and roast for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

6. Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips

– You can use other herbs such as oregano and basil in place of the thyme and rosemary.
– Make sure the roast is at room temperature before cooking for best results.
– For a medium-rare roast, cook for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F.
– For a medium roast, cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F.
– For a well-done roast, cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 150°F.
