Ingredients
-1 cup of brown lentils
-2 cups of water
-Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Rinse the lentils in a fine mesh strainer. Make sure to remove any dirt or small stones that may have made their way into the lentils.
2. Place the lentils in a medium size pot and cover with two cups of water.
3. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat and then reduce the heat to low and let the lentils simmer for 15-20 minutes until they are tender.
4. Add salt to taste.
5. Strain the cooked lentils and enjoy.
