– 1 package bratwurst or other type of sausage
– 1 large onion, thinly sliced
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 2-3 cups beer
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
– Salt and pepper, to taste


1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once the butter is melted, add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

2. Add the bratwurst to the skillet and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.

3. Pour the beer over the bratwurst and onions and stir in the brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer until the brats are cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 15-20 minutes.
