How To Cook A Leg Of Lamb

Leg of lamb is a delicious and versatile cut of meat, perfect for a variety of special occasions. Cooking a leg of lamb can seem daunting, but with a few simple steps and the right ingredients, it’s easy to prepare a flavorful, juicy lamb roast that everybody will love. Here’s how to do it.

You will need:

– Leg of lamb, approximately 2-3 pounds
– Olive oil
– Salt and pepper
– Fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme
– Garlic
– Onion
– Vegetables of your choice, such as carrots and potatoes

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F. Take the leg of lamb out of the packaging and pat it dry with a paper towel. Then, rub the entire surface of the lamb with a generous amount of olive oil and season it with salt and pepper. Mince the garlic and herbs and sprinkle them over the lamb.

Next, dice the onion and the vegetables of your choice. Place the vegetables in a roasting pan and place the leg of lamb on top. Put the roasting pan in the preheated oven and let it cook for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

When the lamb is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving. Slice the lamb into pieces and serve with the cooked vegetables. Enjoy!
