How To Cook Crabcakes

Crabcakes make a delicious meal or snack, and they are surprisingly easy to make. With a few basic ingredients and just a few minutes of prep time, you can make a batch of delicious crabcakes that your family and friends are sure to love.

Ingredients

-1 lb fresh lump crabmeat
-1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
-1/2 cup mayonnaise
-1 large egg
-1/4 cup fresh parsley, minced
-1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
-1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
-2 tablespoons lemon juice
-1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
-1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
-1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, gently mix together the crabmeat, onion, garlic, celery, mayonnaise, egg, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, lemon juice, and hot sauce.

2. Add the bread crumbs to the mixture and mix until combined.

3. Form the mixture into 8-10 patties and place on a plate.

4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

5. When the oil is hot, add the crabcakes to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Remove the crabcakes from the skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

7. Serve warm with your favorite sauces and sides. Enjoy!
