• 1-2 lbs of beef round steak
• 1/4 cup of olive oil
• 3 cloves of garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
• 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
• Salt and pepper to taste

Preparing The Steak

1. Take the round steak out of the refrigerator and let it rest for about 30 minutes before cooking.
2. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel.
3. Sprinkle both sides of the steak with salt and pepper.
4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
5. Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet.
6. Sear the steak on both sides for about 3-4 minutes per side.
7. Once the steak is nicely browned, reduce the heat to medium and add the garlic, oregano, and thyme.
8. Add a few tablespoons of water to the skillet and cover it with a lid.
9. Let the steak cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until it is cooked to your desired degree of doneness.


1. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
2. Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
