Ingredients

-1 beef tenderloin, 4-5 pounds
-1 tablespoon olive oil
-2 tablespoons fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Rub the beef tenderloin with the olive oil and herbs. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

3. Place the beef in a roasting pan or baking dish.

4. Roast the beef in the oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F for medium-rare doneness.

5. Remove the beef from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips

-If you’d like to add more flavor to the beef, try brushing it with a mixture of melted butter and herbs before roasting.
