• 2 to 3 pound corned beef brisket

• 2 tablespoons pickling spices

• 1 teaspoon garlic powder

• 1 teaspoon onion powder

• 1 teaspoon black pepper

• 1/4 cup of brown sugar

• 1/2 cup of water


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Place corned beef brisket in a roasting pan and sprinkle the pickling spices, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper on top.

3. Rub the spices into the corned beef brisket.

4. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the corned beef.

5. Add the 1/2 cup of water to the roasting pan.

6. Cover the roasting pan with a lid or aluminum foil.

7. Place the roasting pan in the oven and cook the corned beef for 2 to 3 hours or until it is tender.

8. If the corned beef is not tender after the 2 to 3 hours, continue to cook the corned beef for an additional 15 minutes at a time until it is tender.

9. Once the corned beef is tender, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.


• You can add additional spices to the corned beef before cooking such as cumin, paprika, oregano, or thyme for added flavor.

• You can also add vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, and onions to the roasting pan to cook with the corned beef.

• If the corned beef is getting too dark during cooking, you can reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent it from burning.
