How To Cook A T Bone Steak

All you need to know about: How To Cook A T Bone Steak.

Step 1: Preparing the Steak

The first step in cooking a T-bone steak is to prepare the steak for cooking. Start by patting the steak dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. Season the steak on both sides with your favorite steak seasoning or salt and pepper.

Step 2: Preheat the Grill

Once the steak is seasoned, preheat your outdoor grill or indoor grill pan to high heat. Allow the grill to heat up for at least 10-15 minutes before adding the steak.

Step 3: Grill the Steak

Once the grill is hot, place the steak onto the grill and allow it to cook for about 3 minutes. Flip the steak over and cook for an additional 3 minutes. During this time, the steak will start to sear and form a nice crust.

Step 4: Check the Temperature

Once the steak is seared on both sides, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. If the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the grill. If not, cook for an additional few minutes, checking the temperature each time.

Step 5: Resting the Steak

Once the steak is cooked to your desired doneness, remove it from the grill and transfer to a plate. Allow the steak to rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting into it. This will allow the steak to reabsorb the juices that were released during cooking.

Step 6: Serving

Once the steak has rested, slice it against the grain and serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
