Ingredients

– A roast of your choice
– Salt, pepper and other spices of your choice
– Vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, onions or any other of your choice
– Cooking oil

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

2. Trim any excess fat from the roast and season generously with salt, pepper and any other spices you like.

3. Place the roast in an oven-safe roasting pan and add the vegetables around it.

4. Drizzle a little cooking oil over the vegetables and season with salt and pepper.

5. Roast the meat and vegetables for approximately 20 minutes per pound (450g) of meat or until the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.

6. Let the roast rest for 10 minutes before serving. This will help the juices to redistribute and make the meat more tender.

Tips

– For extra flavor, you can add a few cloves of garlic and some herbs to the vegetables.
– Don’t forget to baste the roast with the pan juices every 20 minutes or so. This will help keep the meat moist and full of flavor.
– If you want to make the vegetables extra crispy, you can turn up the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
