Preparing the Pot Roast

Cooking the Pot Roast
Once the roast is seasoned, place it in the crock pot. Pour in a few cups of beef broth or beef stock, enough to cover the base of the crock pot. Add in a few tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, a bay leaf, and a few cloves of garlic.
Set the crock pot to low heat and cook the pot roast for 8-10 hours. You can also set it to high heat and cook the roast for 4-5 hours. Either way, keep an eye on the roast as it cooks, checking on it every few hours.
Serving the Pot Roast
Once the roast is cooked, carefully remove it from the crock pot and place it on a cutting board. Slice the roast into thin slices. Serve the pot roast with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, carrots, and green beans. Enjoy!
