Ingredients Needed

-3-4 lb. chuck roast, trimmed of fat
-1 large onion, chopped
-3 cloves garlic, minced
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
-1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-2 cups beef broth
-1 teaspoon dried rosemary
-1 teaspoon dried thyme
-1 teaspoon dried oregano
-1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1 teaspoon onion powder
-1 teaspoon black pepper
-Kosher salt, to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat the crock pot on high heat.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper.

4. Brown the roast in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side.

5. Place the browned roast in the crock pot.

6. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until soft, about 4 minutes.

7. Add the balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, rosemary, thyme, oregano, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.

8. Pour the sauce over the roast in the crock pot.

9. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours.

10. When the roast is cooked, remove it from the crock pot and shred it with two forks.

11. Serve the shredded roast with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or your favorite side dish. Enjoy!
