How To Cook Carne Asada

Ingredients

• 2 to 4 pounds of skirt steak, flank steak, or sirloin steak

• 1/4 cup of soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
• 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon of chili powder
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 1 teaspoon of black pepper
• 1 onion (chopped)
• 2 jalapenos (minced)

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine the oil, lime juice, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, onion, and jalapenos.
2. Add the steak to the marinade and mix until the steak is completely coated.
3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
5. Remove the steak from the marinade and place on the preheated grill.
6. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
7. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
8. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
