How To Cook Whole Chicken In Instapot

Cooking a whole chicken in an Instapot is an easy, delicious way to get a meal on the table quickly. With the right ingredients and a few tips, you can have a juicy, flavorful chicken in a matter of minutes. Here’s what you need to know to cook a whole chicken in an Instapot.

Ingredients

– 1 (3-4 pound) whole chicken
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 teaspoons of your favorite seasonings (such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.)
– 1 cup chicken broth or water

Instructions

1. Start by preparing the chicken. Remove any giblets and pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Rub the chicken evenly with the olive oil and seasonings.

2. Place the chicken in the Instapot and pour the chicken broth or water around the chicken. Make sure the liquid is covering the bottom of the pot but not covering the chicken.

3. Secure the lid and make sure the valve is set to “Sealing.” Select the “Poultry” setting and set the timer for 25 minutes.

4. When the timer goes off, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes before carefully turning the valve to “Venting” and releasing the remaining steam.

5. Carefully remove the chicken from the Instapot and transfer it to a cutting board. Let it rest for 10 minutes before carving. Enjoy!
