How To Cook Corn Beef And Cabbage

Corn Beef and Cabbage is a classic dish that can be made with a variety of ingredients. The basic recipe includes corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. – 2-3 pounds of corned beef
– 2 heads of cabbage, cut into wedges
– 4-6 potatoes, diced
– 2 carrots, diced
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Place the corned beef in a large roasting pan or Dutch oven and cover with water.
3. Bring the water to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1-2 hours.
4. Remove the corned beef from the pan and set aside.
5. Add the olive oil to the pan and heat over medium heat.
6. Add the onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes and cook until they begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
7. Add the cabbage wedges and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
8. Return the corned beef to the pan and add the thyme and salt and pepper to taste.
9. Cover the pan with foil and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
11. Serve warm and enjoy!
