Ingredients
– 2.5-3 pound corned beef brisket
– 4 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
– 2 cups beef broth
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1/2 teaspoon peppercorns
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 2 bay leaves
– 3 cups water
– 1 onion, sliced
– 1 carrot, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
– 2 celery stalks, cut into 1-inch pieces
– 1 head of cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
Instructions
1. Place the corned beef in the slow cooker.
2. Add the garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, peppercorns, mustard seeds, bay leaves, and water.
3. Place the onion, carrot, celery, and cabbage on top of the corned beef.
4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the corned beef is tender.
5. Remove the corned beef, vegetables, and broth from the slow cooker.
