How To Cook A T-Bone Steak
All you need to know about: How To Cook A T-Bone Steak.
Preparation
Before you begin, make sure you have the right cut of steak. A T-bone steak should have a bone in the shape of a “T” running through the middle. The steak should also have a tenderloin on one side and a strip steak on the other.
Seasoning
Once you have the correct cut, season the steak liberally with salt and pepper. You can also use other spices such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika to add more flavor.
Cooking
Now it’s time to cook the steak. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. When the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side. For medium-rare, the steak should have an internal temperature of 135°F. For medium, the steak should have an internal temperature of 140°F.
Resting
Once the steak is done cooking, let it rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting into it. This will help ensure that all the juices stay in the steak.
Serving
Once the steak has rested, slice it against the grain into thin strips. Serve the steak with your favorite sides such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad. Enjoy!
