Ingredients Needed
– 2-3 lb arm roast
– Salt and pepper
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 medium onions, chopped
– 2 cups of beef broth
– 1 bay leaf
– 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
– 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
Steps
1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
2. Place the arm roast on a cutting board and sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil, then add the garlic and onions. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
4. Add the roast to the skillet and sear on all sides until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
5. Add the beef broth, bay leaf, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, then cover and place in the preheated oven.
6. Roast for 2-3 hours, or until the roast is fork-tender.
7. Remove the roast from the skillet and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving
