How To Cook Tortellini

– 1 package of tortellini
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1/4 cup of diced onion
– 1 clove of garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
– 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
– 1 can (14.5 ounces) of diced tomatoes
– 1/2 cup of chicken broth
– 1/4 cup of heavy cream
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese


1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add tortellini and cook according to package instructions.

2. While the tortellini is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until onion is soft and translucent.

3. Add Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and heavy cream to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes.

4. Once the tortellini is cooked, drain it and add it to the skillet. Gently stir everything together and season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Serve the tortellini in individual bowls and top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
