– 4 tilapia filets
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice


1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. When the skillet is hot, add the olive oil to the pan.

3. Place the tilapia filets in the skillet. Season them with salt and pepper.

4. Cook the tilapia for about 3 minutes on each side, until the fish is lightly browned and cooked through.

5. Once the tilapia is cooked, remove it from the heat and set aside.

6. Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add the butter and garlic. Saute the garlic for 1 minute, stirring frequently.

7. Add the lemon juice to the pan and stir to combine everything.

8. Return the tilapia to the skillet and let cook for an additional 2 minutes.
