– 4 (4-ounce) filet mignons
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons butter
– Salt and freshly ground black pepper
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Heat a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add the olive oil and butter.
4. When the butter has melted, add the filet mignons and season with salt and pepper.
5. Sear the steaks on each side for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
6. Add the garlic and parsley and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
7. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
8. Remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the steaks to a plate.
9. Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
