How To Cook Spaghetti Squash Whole

All you need to know about: How To Cook Spaghetti Squash Whole.

Preparing the Spaghetti Squash

The first step in cooking a spaghetti squash is to prepare it for cooking. Start by washing the squash with warm water and scrubbing it with a vegetable brush to remove any dirt. Pat the squash dry with a paper towel.

Cutting the Squash

Next, you will need to cut the squash in half. To do this, use a sharp chef’s knife and cut the squash lengthwise. Be sure to cut the squash in a straight line so that the two halves are even. Once you have cut the squash in half, use a spoon to scrape out the seeds and any excess stringy bits.

Cooking the Squash

Once the squash is prepared and cut, it is time to cook it. There are several ways to cook spaghetti squash, including roasting, microwaving, and boiling. For this recipe, we will be roasting the squash.

To roast the squash, preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the two halves of the squash, cut side down, on the parchment paper. Roast the squash for 30-35 minutes, or until the flesh is tender and easily pierced with a fork.

Serving the Squash

Once the squash is cooked, use a fork to scrape out the spaghetti-like strings of squash. Serve the squash immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Enjoy!
