– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 small onion, chopped
– 2 (14.5 ounce) cans of diced tomatoes
– 1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste
– 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
– 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
– 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
– 1 bay leaf
– 1/4 cup of white wine


1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the garlic and onion and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, parsley, and bay leaf.
4. Pour in the white wine and bring the sauce to a simmer.
5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
7. Serve over your favorite cooked pasta. Enjoy!
