Ingredients Needed

1 large head of Romanesco
2 tablespoons of olive or vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
2. Wash and dry the Romanesco head. Cut it into florets, making sure they are all the same size.
3. Place the Romanesco florets on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
4. Roast the Romanesco in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
5. Serve the Romanesco immediately, alone or as part of a larger dish. Enjoy!

Tips & Notes

• You can also cook Romanesco in a skillet on the stovetop. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Romanesco florets and cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
• To add more flavor to the Romanesco, you can also add garlic, herbs, and spices to the olive oil.
• Romanesco can also be cooked in the microwave. Place the florets in a microwave-safe dish and cover with a damp paper towel. Cook on high for 3-5 minutes, stirring halfway through.
• Romanesco is best enjoyed when it is freshly cooked, but it can also be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
