1 cup of quinoa
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Rinse the quinoa in a fine mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
2. Put the rinsed quinoa, water, and olive oil in a medium saucepan.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and cover with a lid.
4. Simmer for 15 minutes, or until the quinoa is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
5. Remove the pan from the heat and let the quinoa sit for 5 minutes.
6. Fluff the quinoa with a fork and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
