How To Cook Quesadilla

Quesadillas are a delicious Mexican dish consisting of a flour tortilla filled with cheese and other ingredients, then folded in half and cooked until golden and crispy. They are easy to make and can be served as a main course, appetizer, or snack. Here’s how to make them.


-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
-4 flour tortillas
-1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or combination)
-2 cups cooked filling of your choice (shredded chicken, ground beef, black beans, mushrooms, etc.)


1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
3. Add your desired filling to the top of the cheese.
4. Top with the remaining cheese.
5. Place the second tortilla on top of the filling and press down lightly with a spatula.
6. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden and crispy.
7. Flip over with a spatula and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
8. Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
9. Cut each quesadilla into wedges and serve with salsa and sour cream.
