Ingredients

– 28 ounces of pearl onions
– 1 tablespoon of butter
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme, chopped
– 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon of salt
– 2 tablespoons of dry white wine

Instructions

1. Peel the pearl onions. To do this, blanch the onions in boiling water for about 2 minutes. Remove from boiling water and rinse with cold water. The skins should slip off easily.

2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

3. Add pearl onions to the skillet and season with thyme, pepper and salt.

4. Cook the onions, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown and tender, about 10 minutes.

5. Add the white wine to the skillet and reduce heat to low.

6. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7. Serve hot and enjoy!
