Ingredients

1 pound of ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 large egg
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper, egg, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Use your hands to mix everything together until combined.

3. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll into balls. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

4. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

5. Add the crushed tomatoes, sugar, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes.

6. Add the cooked meatballs and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sauce is thickened.

7. Stir in the chopped basil and serve with your favorite pasta or over rice. Enjoy!
