2 cans (14.5 ounces each) green beans, drained

1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 1/3 cups French-fried onions


1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. In a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, combine green beans, soup, milk, black pepper and 2/3 cup of the French-fried onions.

3. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.

4. Stir casserole. Sprinkle with remaining 2/3 cup onions.

5. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes longer or until hot and bubbly.


• To cut down on prep time, you can use canned green beans instead of fresh.

• To add a bit of crunch to the dish, you can add bread crumbs to the topping.

• If you want to make the dish a bit healthier, you can use low-fat milk and reduced-fat soup.
