– 2 cups of vegetable broth or water
– 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
– A pinch of black pepper
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon of ground cumin

Instructions:

1. Start by rinsing the French lentils in a fine mesh strainer. Make sure to remove any debris or stones.

2. In a medium pot, combine the lentils with the vegetable broth or water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until the lentils are tender.

3. Once the lentils are cooked, drain off any excess liquid.

4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute.

5. Add the cooked lentils to the skillet and stir in the cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
