– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions
1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add the olive oil and butter. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and thyme.
3. Season the filets generously with salt and pepper.
4. Add the filets to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes.
5. Flip the filets and cook for an additional 3 minutes for medium-rare. For medium, cook an additional 1-2 minutes.
