1. Choose Your Edamame
When shopping for edamame, look for pods that are bright green and firm. Avoid pods that are yellowing, wrinkled, or otherwise damaged.
2. Prepare the Edamame
Place the edamame in a colander and rinse them under cold water. If desired, you can also remove the edamame from their pods.
3. Cook the Edamame
Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the edamame and cook for 5-7 minutes. The edamame should be tender but still have a slight crunch.
4. Drain the Edamame
Drain the edamame in a colander and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
5. Serve the Edamame
