What You Will Need
– 1 cup of dried garbanzo beans
– 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
– 1 teaspoon of paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Begin by soaking the dried garbanzo beans in a large pot of water overnight or for at least 8 hours. This will soften them and reduce the cooking time.
2. Drain the beans and rinse with cold water.
3. Put the beans into a pot and cover with 3-4 inches of fresh water.
4. Bring the beans to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes to an hour, or until the beans are tender.
5. Drain the beans and set aside.
6. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
