Roasting A Leg Of Lamb

Roasting a leg of lamb is a classic method for cooking that is sure to impress. Here’s how to do it:

Ingredients

– 1 Leg of lamb
– Olive oil
– 1 Lemon
– Salt and pepper
– Your favorite herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, or sage
– 2 cloves of garlic

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Rub the leg of lamb with a generous amount of olive oil.

3. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the top of the leg of lamb and season with salt and pepper.

4. Place your herb mix over the top of the leg of lamb and spread it evenly.

5. Peel and smash two cloves of garlic and spread them over the top of the leg of lamb.

6. Place the leg of lamb on a roasting pan or baking sheet and place it in the preheated oven.

7. Roast the leg of lamb for 45 minutes.

8. After 45 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and continue to roast the leg of lamb for an additional 30 minutes.

9. After the additional 30 minutes, check the lamb with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should be between 145-150 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare.

10. Remove the leg of lamb from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
