How To Cook A Turkey Breast In A Crockpot

Cooking a turkey breast in a crockpot is an easy, convenient way to have a delicious meal without having to spend hours in the kitchen preparing it. This method yields a juicy, flavorful turkey breast that can be enjoyed as is, or used in sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other recipes. Here’s how to do it:

Ingredients

-One 4 to 6 pound turkey breast
-1/4 cup olive oil
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1 teaspoon onion powder
-1 teaspoon dried rosemary
-1 teaspoon dried sage
-1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-1/2 teaspoon paprika
-Salt to taste (optional)

Instructions

1. Begin by taking your turkey breast out of its packaging and patting it dry with a paper towel.

2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, sage, pepper, and paprika.

3. Rub the oil mixture all over the turkey breast, making sure to coat it evenly.

4. Place the turkey breast in the crockpot and sprinkle it with salt, if desired.

5. Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 4 to 5 hours, or low for 7 to 8 hours.

6. Once the turkey is cooked through, remove it from the crockpot and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.

Tips

-To ensure the turkey breast cooks evenly, make sure it is placed in the crockpot with the breast side facing up.
-If your turkey breast comes with a net, leave it on while it cooks to keep the shape of the breast intact.
-Add 1/4 cup of chicken broth to the crockpot to keep the turkey breast nice and moist while cooking.

Enjoy your delicious, juicy turkey breast!
