How To Cook A Stuffed Turkey

Stuffed turkey is a beloved holiday favorite and a great way to feed a crowd. It’s also surprisingly easy to make and can be cooked in a variety of different ways. Here’s how to cook a stuffed turkey to perfection.

Ingredients

-1 16-20 pound turkey
-2-3 cups of your favorite stuffing
-1 cup of butter
-Salt and pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2. Carefully remove the giblets from the turkey cavity and discard. Rinse the turkey inside and out with cool water and pat dry with paper towels.

3. Rub the turkey with butter, making sure to get some under the skin as well. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4. Place the stuffing inside the turkey cavity. Secure the neck skin to the back of the turkey with toothpicks or a skewer.

5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan. Cover the breast and top of the legs with foil.

6. Roast in the preheated oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Let the turkey rest for 15 minutes before carving.

Serving

Serve the carved turkey with the remaining stuffing and your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
