How To Cook Strip Steak

All you need to know about: How To Cook Strip Steak.

Ingredients:

– Strip steak (1-2 inch thick)
– Salt
– Pepper
– Butter
– Garlic (optional)

Instructions:

1. Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

2. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

3. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel and season it generously with salt and pepper.

4. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it’s very hot. Add some butter and/or oil to the pan.

5. When the butter/oil starts to sizzle, add the steak to the pan and let it cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.

6. If using garlic, add it to the pan during the last minute of cooking.

7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and let it cook for 5-7 minutes for medium-rare or 8-10 minutes for medium-well.

8. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steak rest for 5 minutes.

9. Slice the steak against the grain and serve. Enjoy!
