All you need to know about: How To Cook Steak On Stove Without Cast Iron.

Ingredients Needed

– Steak of your choice (ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon, etc.)
– Salt
– Pepper
– Olive oil
– Large skillet
– Plate

1. Take the steak out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before cooking so it can come to room temperature.

2. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

4. Add a tablespoon or two of olive oil to the skillet and swirl it around to coat the bottom of the pan.

5. Place the steak in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until a nice brown crust forms.

6. Flip the steak and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the desired doneness is reached.

7. Remove the steak from the skillet and place it onto a plate.

8. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips & Tricks

– Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the oil and steak. This will help create a nice sear and prevent the steak from sticking to the pan.

– Don’t move the steak around while it’s cooking. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes before flipping it to ensure a nice crust forms.

– Use a thermometer to check for doneness. For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be 130-135°F. For medium, it should be 140-145°F. For well-done, it should be 150-155°F.
