How To Cook Steak In The Air Fryer

Cooking steak in an air fryer is a great way to get a delicious, juicy steak without the mess of a traditional stovetop. Plus, it takes less time and uses less oil than traditional cooking methods. Here’s how to cook steak in an air fryer.

Ingredients

– Steak of your choice (ribeye, sirloin, or tenderloin)
– Salt and pepper
– Olive oil (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
2. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel and season it with salt and pepper. If desired, you can also brush the steak with a light coating of olive oil.
3. Place the steak in the air fryer basket.
4. Cook the steak for 8–10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the steak and the desired doneness. For a 1-inch thick steak, cook for 8 minutes for medium rare or 10 minutes for medium.
5. Once the steak is done, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips

– Be sure to check the steak for doneness with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature for a medium-rare steak should be 130°F (54°C).
– If you want to get a nice sear on your steak, preheat a cast iron skillet on the stovetop and cook the steak in the skillet for 2 minutes on each side before transferring it to the air fryer.
– For an extra flavorful steak, you can marinate it for a few hours before cooking.
