-Salt
-Pepper
-Optional seasonings, such as garlic powder, paprika, oregano, etc.
-Oil, such as olive or avocado

Instructions

1. Prepare the steak. Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature, about 20-30 minutes. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings.

2. Heat the pan. Place a cast iron pan over medium-high heat and let it heat up for a couple of minutes.

3. Add oil. Once the pan is hot, add a tablespoon or two of oil and let it heat up.

4. Add steak. Sear the steak in the hot pan for 2-3 minutes per side, or until it has reached your desired doneness.

5. Rest steak. Once the steak is done cooking, remove it from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips

-Use a good quality oil for the best flavor.
-Allow the steak to rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
-If you prefer your steak cooked to a higher doneness, you can move the steak to the oven to finish cooking.
