Ingredients
– 1 ribeye steak
– Salt
– Pepper
– Olive oil
– Butter
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Take the steak out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
3. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
4. Heat a large skillet over high heat for 5 minutes.
5. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and swirl it around the pan.
6. Place the steak in the pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side or until nicely seared.
7. Remove the steak from the pan and place it on a baking sheet.
8. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and cook the steak to your desired doneness. For medium-rare, cook for 10-12 minutes.
