How To Cook A Ribeye Steak On The Stovetop

Ribeye steak is a tender, juicy cut of beef that is easy to prepare on the stovetop. This recipe will show you how to achieve the perfect steak with a flavorful crust and juicy interior.


-1 ribeye steak, 1-inch thick
-Kosher salt
-Freshly ground pepper
-1 tablespoon of butter
-1 tablespoon of vegetable oil


1. Start by liberally seasoning the steak with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Make sure to season both sides of the steak.

2. Heat a large skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the butter and vegetable oil.

3. Place the steak in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
