2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper


1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and heat until just beginning to smoke.
3. Pat the eye of round steak dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper.
