How To Cook A Chuck Roast

A chuck roast is a perfect cut of meat to make for a delicious and hearty meal. It’s a cut of beef that comes from the shoulder of the cow, and it’s a fairly tough cut, so it needs to be cooked slowly to make it tender. Here’s how to cook a chuck roast:

– 1 boneless chuck roast (3-4 pounds)
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– Salt and pepper
– 1 cup of beef broth
– 1 onion, diced
– 4 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
– 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
– 2 tablespoons of fresh rosemary leaves, chopped

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large, oven-safe pot over medium-high heat.
3. Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
4. Place the chuck roast in the pot and sear it on both sides until it is nicely browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
5. Add the beef broth, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, and rosemary to the pot. Stir to combine.
6. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the oven.
7. Cook the chuck roast for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
8. When the roast is done cooking, remove it from the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
