Ingredients
– 1 cup of white rice
– 1¾ cups of water
– 1 tablespoon of butter (optional)
Instructions
1. Measure out 1 cup of white rice and pour it into a medium sized pot.
2. Fill the pot with 1¾ cups of cold water.
3. Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the water to a boil.
4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
5. Allow the rice to simmer for 18 minutes.
