Ingredients

– 2 cups of long grain white rice
– 2 and 1/2 cups of chicken broth or water
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 2 tablespoons of butter (optional)

Instructions

1. Start by adding the rice, chicken broth (or water), salt and butter (optional) to the slow cooker. Stir the ingredients together with a wooden spoon or a rubber spatula.

2. Place the lid on top of the slow cooker and turn it on to the high setting. Allow the rice to cook for 2 to 3 hours, or until all of the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.

– If you don’t have chicken broth, you can use water as a substitute.
– Feel free to add other ingredients to the rice, such as vegetables, herbs or spices.
